What is this service?
Railway is a cloud platform that deploys applications straight from your Git repository. You push code, and Railway builds it, runs it, and gives it a public URL — without you configuring servers, load balancers, or CI pipelines.
Alongside your app it provisions managed databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis in a couple of clicks, and wires them to your service through environment variables. Teams use it for APIs, background workers, cron jobs, Discord bots, and full-stack apps that would otherwise need a VPS and a lot of manual setup.
Railway bills on usage: you pay a monthly plan fee plus whatever compute, memory, and bandwidth your services actually consume. That billing runs on international cards, which is where Iranian and other regional bank cards get declined. A Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, funded with USDT, gives you a card Railway accepts like any standard international card.
Accepted card types
- Virtual Visa
- Virtual Mastercard
- Prepaid
- Debit
- Credit card
- Crypto (direct)
Railway runs cards through Stripe, so a reloadable virtual Visa or Mastercard with 3-D Secure works like a standard international card; single-use gift-card BINs may fail. Railway does not accept cryptocurrency directly, so pay by card or use a Mehbit proxy payment.

Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

FAQ
Does Railway accept virtual Visa or Mastercard?
Yes. Railway processes payments through Stripe, so a reloadable virtual Visa or Mastercard with 3-D Secure is accepted like any standard international card. Single-use gift-card BINs may be rejected, but a proper reloadable card works.
Can I pay for Railway with a Mehbit card?
Yes. Issue a Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, top it up with USDT, and add it under Billing in the Railway dashboard. A Mehbit cardholder has already completed a real $20.00 Railway charge, so a properly funded card works today.
How much does Railway cost?
Railway charges a monthly plan fee plus metered usage. Hobby is about $5 per month including roughly $5 of usage credit, and Pro is about $20 per month per seat with a larger allowance. Enterprise is custom priced. Because compute, memory, and bandwidth are metered, your real bill can exceed the base plan price.
Why did Railway put a small hold on my card?
Railway authorizes a small amount, around $1, to verify a newly added card is live. It is a temporary authorization rather than a real charge and is released automatically, but your card must have enough balance for the check to pass.
Does Railway accept cryptocurrency?
No. Railway does not accept cryptocurrency at checkout. With Mehbit you use crypto only to fund the card — deposit USDT, then pay Railway with the resulting Visa or Mastercard, or request a Mehbit proxy payment.
What if my local bank card is declined by Railway?
Iranian and many other regional bank cards are declined by Railway because payments run through Stripe. Use a Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard funded with USDT, or request a proxy payment in the Mehbit Telegram mini-app and we pay Railway on your behalf.
Tips
Expect a small verification hold when you first add the card. Railway authorizes about $1 to check the card is live; it is released automatically, but your card needs a little balance above the plan price for that check to pass.
Keep a usage buffer on the card, not just the plan fee. Railway bills metered compute, memory, and bandwidth on top of the base plan, so a card holding exactly $5 or $20 can be declined when the usage portion is charged at the end of the cycle.
Watch the usage dashboard before scaling up. Adding replicas, a bigger database, or an always-on worker changes your monthly bill immediately, so check the projected usage view and top up in advance.
Match the billing name and address on your Railway account to your card details. Stripe runs AVS and 3-D Secure checks, and consistent billing information reduces the chance of a declined or flagged payment.
If a payment keeps getting declined despite a funded card, do not retry repeatedly — repeated failures can flag the account. Request a proxy payment in the Mehbit Telegram mini-app and we will pay Railway directly for you.
