AI subscriptions are the hardest thing to pay for from Iran and the most in demand. Will a Mehbit card work on ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro?
Yes — both are payment-tested. We have settled real charges on ChatGPT Plus and Claude Pro with Mehbit cards. Note that the very first Claude payment sometimes fails and goes through on a retry, and that a discounted or promotional ChatGPT offer will not accept our cards even though the regular subscription does.
Why was my AI subscription declined even though the card has funds?
Almost always one of two reasons. Either the IP address you are connecting from does not match the card country — AI platforms check this more aggressively than any other category — or the billing address you typed at checkout does not match the one on your Mehbit profile. Fix whichever applies and retry; the card itself is rarely the problem.
Can I pay for the OpenAI or Anthropic API rather than a subscription?
Yes. API billing is an ordinary card charge and behaves the same way as a subscription. Keep a little more than the invoice amount on the card, because usage-based billing charges what you actually spent rather than a fixed figure, and a card that is funded to the exact cent will decline.
Does using a foreign card put my AI account at risk?
The card is not what gets accounts suspended — mismatched signals are. An account that logs in from one country, pays with a card from another and switches IP frequently looks like a shared or resold account, which is what these platforms actually police. Keep the connection country, the billing country and your usage consistent and the card raises no flags.
