What is this service?
Oxen.ai is a platform for building AI on your own data, made by Oxen Labs in Santa Monica, California. It started as an open-source data version control tool — think Git, but built for very large datasets, images, video and model weights — and has grown into a place where you can store and version that data, run more than 200 text, image and video models through one API, fine-tune your own model with a few clicks and deploy it to a dedicated GPU.
There are two things you can pay for. A storage plan (Hacker or Pro) adds private repositories, storage and data transfer on top of the free Explorer tier. Compute — model calls, fine-tuning runs and dedicated GPUs — is pay-as-you-go and is funded with compute credits on your account, with no subscription required.
Both are charged to a card. A Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard topped up with USDT works at Oxen.ai’s checkout like any other international card, so you can buy credits or upgrade a plan without a local bank card.
Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

Does Oxen.ai accept crypto?
Oxen.ai does not list crypto as a payment option. A USDT-funded Mehbit card bridges the gap: you move the USDT you need onto the card and pay Oxen.ai in US dollars by card, with no currency conversion.

Do I need a subscription to use Oxen.ai models?
No. Oxen.ai says all models are pay-as-you-go with no upfront costs and no subscription required. You add compute credits with your card and they are spent as you run models, fine-tune or keep a dedicated GPU running. The Hacker and Pro subscriptions are for private repositories, storage and transfer.
Can I get a refund on Oxen.ai credits?
Oxen.ai’s terms of service do not publish a refund policy for credits or plans, so treat credits as non-refundable once bought and contact Oxen.ai support if a charge looks wrong. The safest approach is to top up in small amounts until you know what your workload costs.
Tips
Start small: buy a modest amount of compute credit first, run your job, and top up once you know what your workload really costs.
Top up the Mehbit card before you check out — the card must already hold the amount you are buying.
Stop or delete dedicated GPU deployments you are not using. They bill per second and only shut down on their own after 15 minutes of inactivity.
Check a model’s price on the pricing page before long video or large fine-tuning runs; video is billed per second of output and adds up quickly.
On a Hacker or Pro plan, keep enough balance on the card ahead of each renewal date so the subscription is not declined.
Keep the Mehbit card active after paying, in case a charge ever needs to be corrected back to it.
