What is this service?

Battle.net is Blizzard Entertainment’s launcher and online store. It is where you buy and play World of Warcraft, Diablo, Overwatch, Hearthstone and StarCraft, as well as the Call of Duty titles sold on Battle.net. The same account holds your games, your friends list, your in-game purchases and your Battle.net Balance.

Battle.net Balance is Blizzard’s stored credit. You add money to it once and then spend it in the Battle.net Shop — on games and expansions, WoW game time, the WoW Token, Overwatch coins, Hearthstone packs and other digital items — without entering a card for every purchase. It is held in the currency of your account’s country and stays on that account.

A Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, topped up with USDT, works in the Battle.net Shop like any other international card: you can use it to add Balance, to buy a product directly, or to pay for a World of Warcraft subscription. This page is about Blizzard’s own shop — other game stores have their own rules, and some of them decline these cards.

Why is payment hard?

Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

Accepted card types

  • Virtual Visa
  • Virtual Mastercard
  • Prepaid
  • Debit
  • Credit card
  • Crypto (direct)

Blizzard accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover credit cards, debit cards and prepaid cards with a CVV, and a reloadable Mehbit virtual card was accepted and charged successfully. Blizzard does not take cryptocurrency, so topping up a Mehbit card with USDT and paying by card is the route.

FAQ

Can I pay on Battle.net with a virtual Visa or Mastercard?

Yes. Blizzard accepts Visa and Mastercard, including prepaid cards with a CVV, and we tested it with a real Mehbit card — a Battle.net Balance top-up went through and settled. Issue a Mehbit virtual card, top it up with USDT, and pay in the Battle.net Shop.

Can I use Battle.net Balance to pay for World of Warcraft?

Not for the subscription itself — Balance cannot be used for recurring subscriptions. Pay the WoW subscription with the card instead. You can use Balance for game time sold as a product or for a WoW Token, which also adds game time.

How much Battle.net Balance can I add?

From $1 up to a total Balance of $350 if the Battle.net Authenticator is linked to your account, or $110 without it (the euro and pound limits are €250 / £200 and €110 / £100). New Balance can take up to 24 hours to appear.

Can I get a refund on Battle.net?

Within 14 days for most eligible purchases. Games and expansions qualify only if you have played for two hours or less; Balance and purchased virtual currency only if unspent; and an unused WoW subscription within 14 days. Items bought with in-game currency are generally non-refundable. Refunds usually return to the original payment method.

Does this mean every game store works with a Mehbit card?

No. This page covers Blizzard’s own Battle.net Shop, which we tested. Some other game stores decline these cards, so check the page for the store you want before you buy.

Tips

Link the Battle.net Authenticator before a large top-up — without it your Balance is capped at $110 instead of $350.

New Balance can take up to 24 hours to become available. Top up ahead of a launch or a sale, not at the last minute.

Balance is locked to your account’s currency and cannot be moved to another account. Spend it down before changing your account’s country.

Balance cannot pay for a World of Warcraft subscription. Use the card for the subscription, or use Balance for game time or a WoW Token instead.

Keep the card funded before each subscription renewal — a card with no balance is declined even though Blizzard accepts it.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Keep the Mehbit card active for at least 14 days after a purchase.

Only Blizzard’s own shop is covered here. Some other game stores decline these cards, so check each store’s page before you buy.
