Pay for Rise of Kingdoms

Direct card payment for Rise of Kingdoms gems and packs is blocked at the network level on these cards.

What is this service?

Rise of Kingdoms is a mobile strategy game where you grow a civilisation, build an army, and fight alongside an alliance. Progress is slow by design, and the game sells gems, speed-ups, and bundle packs that shorten the wait.

Those purchases are made either inside the app — through Apple’s or Google’s in-app billing — or on the publisher’s own top-up page, where you enter a card directly. Both routes charge an international card.

Neither route works with a Mehbit card, and not for a reason we can fix on our side. Game purchases fall under a merchant category that is restricted on these cards, so the payment is stopped by the card network before it ever reaches the game.

Why is payment hard?

Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

Accepted card types

  • Crypto (direct)

Rise of Kingdoms purchases are declined at the card network on Mehbit virtual Mastercard because the game-purchase merchant category (MCC) is restricted — the same block that applies to direct Steam and Google Play purchases. Rise of Kingdoms does not accept cryptocurrency from you directly either.

FAQ

Can I buy Rise of Kingdoms gems with a Mehbit card?

No. We tested it with real money and both attempts were declined at the card network because the game-purchase merchant category is restricted on these cards.

Why is my card declined for Rise of Kingdoms?

The decline comes from the card network, not from the game or from Mehbit. Game purchases fall under a restricted merchant category (MCC), so the charge is stopped before it reaches Rise of Kingdoms. The balance on your card is not the issue.

Will a different or newly issued card work?

No. The restriction applies to the card program rather than to an individual card number, so a newly issued Mehbit card is declined in exactly the same way.

Does buying through Google Play or the App Store work instead?

Google Play billing is blocked by the same restricted category, so that route fails too. Apple’s billing behaves differently.

Does Rise of Kingdoms accept cryptocurrency?

No. Rise of Kingdoms does not accept cryptocurrency from players.

Tips

Do not keep retrying a declined charge. The decline is a category rule applied at the network, so the second and tenth attempts fail exactly like the first, and repeated failures can flag your game account.

Issuing a new Mehbit card will not help. The restriction follows the card program, not the individual card number, so a fresh card is declined the same way.
