What is this service?
Linode is a cloud hosting provider that lets you spin up Linux virtual servers (called Linodes), Kubernetes clusters, object storage, and managed databases in a few clicks. It was acquired by Akamai and is now branded Akamai Cloud Computing, but developers still know it as Linode and the control panel still lives at cloud.linode.com.
It is popular with developers, startups, and small teams who want predictable, simple pricing without the complexity of the big hyperscalers. The entry-level Nanode plan starts at $5/month, and everything is billed pay-as-you-go: you are charged by the hour and capped at the monthly price, so you only pay for what you actually run.
If your local bank card does not work at Linode's checkout, Mehbit lets you fund a reloadable virtual Visa or Mastercard with USDT and pay Akamai Cloud at cloud.linode.com/account/billing.
Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.
Accepted card types
- Virtual Visa
- Virtual Mastercard
- Prepaid
- Debit
- Credit card
- Crypto (direct)
Reloadable virtual Visa and Mastercard work at Linode's billing checkout, as do debit and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, UnionPay). Single-use gift-card BINs and zero-balance cards fail against monthly recurring invoices. Direct cryptocurrency is not accepted — fund a Mehbit card with USDT instead.

FAQ
Does Linode (Akamai Cloud) accept virtual Visa or Mastercard?
Yes. Linode accepts all major credit and debit cards, including Visa and Mastercard. A reloadable virtual Visa or Mastercard works at cloud.linode.com/account/billing as long as it has enough balance to cover your monthly invoice and the billing details match the card.
Can I pay for Linode with a Mehbit card?
Yes. Issue a Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, top it up with USDT, then add it under Account → Billing → Payment Methods and set it as the default so your monthly invoice is charged automatically.
What are Linode's plans and prices?
Billing is pay-as-you-go. Shared CPU starts at $5/month for the Nanode 1 GB, $12 for Linode 2 GB, and $24 for Linode 4 GB. Dedicated CPU 4 GB is about $36/month, Object Storage starts around $5/month for 250 GB, and LKE's HA control plane is $60/month. You are billed hourly, capped at the monthly price, and invoiced monthly.
Can I pay Linode with cryptocurrency?
No, Linode does not accept cryptocurrency directly. It accepts cards, Google Pay, and PayPal. With Mehbit you fund a virtual Visa or Mastercard using USDT, then pay Linode with that card.
Is there a free trial for Linode?
There is no permanent free tier, but new accounts often get promotional credit (commonly $100 for 60 days). Because billing is usage-based, you can create a $5 Nanode, use it, and delete it to stop charges. A valid card is required to sign up.
What if my local bank card is declined at Linode?
Iranian and other local bank cards are frequently declined on international checkouts. Use a Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard funded with USDT.
Tips
Keep enough balance on your Mehbit card to cover the full monthly invoice plus object storage and network transfer overages, since billing is usage-based and can vary month to month.
Use a consistent billing name, address, and ZIP that match your Mehbit card so Akamai's address checks (AVS) pass on the first try.
Remember that Linode bills for any resource that exists — even a powered-off server. Delete Linodes you no longer need to stop the hourly charges.
Watch your billing threshold: new accounts are invoiced mid-month once usage crosses about $50, so keep your card topped up to avoid a mid-cycle decline.
Set your Mehbit card as the default payment method so the monthly invoice is charged automatically and your servers are not suspended for non-payment.
Payable with Mehbit virtual cards.
