What is this service?
Numgo is a service for virtual phone numbers and travel eSIM data, run by Numgo LLP, a UK partnership registered in London. A virtual number is a real phone number — from the UK, the US, Canada, several European countries, Australia, Hong Kong, Thailand and more — that lives in an app instead of on a SIM card. You receive SMS and calls on it in the Numgo app for iOS and Android or in your browser, and you can send SMS and make calls from it too. Numgo also sells prepaid eSIM data plans for more than 200 countries.
People use it to keep their main number private when selling online, to give clients a contact number in another country, to keep a number from a country they have left, or to get mobile data abroad without roaming. For most countries, receiving SMS and calls needs no identity documents; sending SMS and making calls requires an identity check (KYC) run by a third-party verification provider.
Numgo takes payment by bank card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Alipay and Amazon Pay. We found no cryptocurrency option. A Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, topped up with USDT, works as an ordinary international card at Numgo’s own website checkout.
Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

FAQ
Can I pay for Numgo with a virtual Visa or Mastercard?
Yes. Numgo takes card payments on numgo.io, and a reloadable Mehbit virtual card works there. Tested with a real Mehbit card — the payment went through, and it appeared on the statement as NUMGO LLP.
Should I pay in the Numgo app or on the website?
On the website. The payment we tested was a direct card payment on numgo.io. In the Android app, Google Play in-app payment is not reliable with Mehbit cards. App Store payments on iPhone generally work, but Apple bills them, not Numgo. Your balance is shared, so top up on the website and use the number in the app.
How much does a Numgo virtual number cost?
A UK, US or Canadian number is listed at $7 for one month, and on the UK page 12 months cost $67.20 (20% off). Other countries range from $9 (Estonia, Czechia) to $60 (Italy). Incoming and outgoing SMS and calls are billed on top, per message and per minute. Travel eSIM data starts at $4. Numgo can change prices, so check the order page.
Will a Numgo number receive verification codes from every service?
Not necessarily. Numgo says it cannot guarantee one-time codes, that some websites and banks refuse virtual numbers, and that a number may have been used before. A code that never arrives is not grounds for a refund, and an activated number is non-refundable — so check the platform first.
Can I call or text Iranian numbers with Numgo?
No. Numgo says it does not deliver calls or SMS to numbers in countries under international sanctions, and it names Iran. We also did not see Iran among its eSIM destinations.
Is Numgo a subscription, and how do renewals work?
Buying a number is a one-time purchase for the period you pick (1 to 12 months). After that the number renews monthly from your Numgo balance if auto-renewal is on and the balance covers it. Numgo warns you three days before expiry, and an expired number can be restored within 10 days. You can switch auto-renewal off in the number’s settings.
Tips
Top up on numgo.io rather than through Google Play in the Android app.
Check the platform before you buy. Numgo does not guarantee one-time codes and does not refund a number because a code never arrived.
Buy 12 months if you plan to keep the number — on the UK page that cuts the price by 20%.
Keep some balance for renewals. Numbers renew monthly from your Numgo balance; an empty balance switches the number off, and after 10 days it may be lost.
Incoming SMS and calls cost extra on top of the rental. Check the rates on the order page first.
For an eSIM, make sure your phone is unlocked and eSIM-capable, and install the eSIM before you travel.
