What is this service?

IELTS is the English test accepted by universities, employers and immigration authorities in the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Europe and the US. It is delivered by the British Council and IDP, and you book with whichever of them runs the test where you want to sit it, on paper or on computer.

You book on the British Council or IDP website for your test country, then pay the fee to confirm your seat. Many test centres take online card payment, including Mastercard. If you have no international bank card, a Mehbit virtual Mastercard funded with USDT lets you pay the booking yourself.

Why is payment hard?

Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

British Council and IDP test centres in many countries take online payment by debit or credit card, including Mastercard. Accepted methods vary by country.

FAQ

Can I pay for IELTS with a virtual card?

Many British Council and IDP test centres take online card payment, including Mastercard. A Mehbit virtual Mastercard funded with USDT is entered like any other card. Payment options vary by country, so check the booking page for your test centre.

How much does IELTS cost?

Each country sets its own IELTS fee, usually in the local currency, and the booking site shows it when you choose a centre. IELTS for UKVI is priced separately. If the fee is not in US dollars, load a little extra on your Mehbit card for the exchange rate.

Can I change my test date or cancel?

Under the British Council’s standard terms, a date change more than 5 weeks before the test is free and within 5 weeks costs 25% of the fee. Cancelling more than 5 weeks before is refunded minus 25%; within 5 weeks only documented serious reasons qualify. Rules vary by country.

Where does a refund go?

Back to the card you paid with, usually within a few weeks. Keep your Mehbit card open until the refund arrives.

Tips

Check which organisation runs the test at your chosen centre and book on its official site.

If the fee is in a local currency, load a little more than the converted amount to cover the exchange rate.

Pay within the time limit shown after registration, or the seat can be released.

Decide your date early. Changes within 5 weeks of the test usually cost 25% of the fee.

Keep the card open after paying. Refunds go back to the original card and take a few weeks.
