What is this service?
Revolut is a digital bank and money app. People use it to hold several currencies, spend abroad, and move money between accounts, and one of the ways money gets into a Revolut account is by pushing it there from an external debit or credit card.
That card top-up is the operation people try with a Mehbit card, and it is the one this page is about. It does not work.
The reason is the merchant category the transaction carries. Card-to-account money movement is classified under a category that is restricted on these cards, so the network declines it before Revolut is involved at all.
Accepted card types
- Virtual Visa
- Virtual Mastercard
- Prepaid
- Debit
- Credit card
- Crypto (direct)
Revolut account top-ups are declined at the card network on Mehbit virtual Visa and Mastercard because card-to-account funding falls under a restricted merchant category (MCC). Mehbit does not offer proxy payment for this either. If you want to spend online, use the Mehbit card at the merchant directly rather than funding a Revolut account first.

Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.
Payment methods
Pay with a Mehbit virtual card
Topping up a Revolut account from a Mehbit card is blocked at the network level — card-to-account funding is a restricted merchant category. There is no card route for this.

FAQ
Can I top up Revolut with a Mehbit card?
No. We tested it with real money and both attempts were declined at the card network, because moving money from a card into an account falls under a restricted merchant category on these cards. The card balance is not the issue.
Can Mehbit top up my Revolut account for me?
No. Funding an external bank or e-money account is a money transfer rather than a purchase, and it is outside what Mehbit does. We would rather tell you plainly than have you request something we will decline.
Will a different or newly issued card work?
No. The restriction applies to the card program rather than to an individual card number, so a newly issued Mehbit card is declined the same way.
Can I pay a shop that uses Revolut as its payment processor?
Yes, that is a different thing entirely. Buying from a merchant that happens to process payments through Revolut is an ordinary purchase and behaves like any other card payment. The restriction only applies to moving money into a Revolut account.
What should I do instead?
If the reason you wanted Revolut was to pay for something online, skip it. Fund your Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard with USDT and pay the merchant directly — no intermediate account needed.
Why is account funding restricted when normal purchases are not?
Card networks classify every transaction by merchant category. Buying a product and pushing money into an account are different categories, and the account-funding category is restricted on these cards while ordinary purchases are not.
Tips
Do not retry a declined top-up. The decline is a category rule applied at the card network, so repeat attempts fail identically and can trigger a risk review on your Revolut account.
A newly issued Mehbit card will not behave differently. The restriction follows the card program, not the individual card number.
If you were planning to top up Revolut only so you could pay an online merchant, skip the middle step. Fund your Mehbit card with USDT and pay that merchant directly — that is the case the card is built for.
Do not confuse this with paying a shop that uses Revolut to process its payments. That is a normal purchase and is not affected by this restriction.
Check the merchant category before assuming a similar service will work. Anything that moves money into an account, rather than buying a product, tends to hit the same restriction.
