What is this service?

Roamless is a travel eSIM you install from an app. There is no physical SIM and no shop: you download the profile onto an eSIM-capable, carrier-unlocked phone and it connects to local networks in more than 200 destinations. The eSIM itself is data-only, and it is free to install — you pay only for what you use.

The part that makes Roamless different from most travel eSIMs is how it bills. Its main product is a credit balance in US dollars, not a data pack. You top up an amount you choose, and data is metered per megabyte at a rate that depends on the country you are physically in — roughly $2.45 per GB in the United States, $3.95 in China, $4.45 in Canada, and from about $1.95 in the cheapest destinations. That credit never expires, so what you do not use on one trip is still there on the next. Alongside it Roamless also sells fixed bundles — 5 GB, 10 GB, 20 GB and 50 GB with a 30-day validity — which work out cheaper per gigabyte but do expire.

Roamless prices and charges everything in US dollars and takes international cards only; there is no local payment rail and no cryptocurrency option. A Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard, topped up with USDT, presents at Roamless as an ordinary international card — and we have settled a real Roamless charge with one.

Accepted card types

  • Virtual Visa
  • Virtual Mastercard
  • Prepaid

  • Credit card
  • Crypto (direct)

Roamless accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay, and charges in US dollars only. A reloadable Mehbit virtual Visa or Mastercard works. Roamless does not accept cryptocurrency directly — you fund the Mehbit card with USDT and pay Roamless in dollars.

Rates may be updated from time to time; the final rate is always shown in the app before you pay.

Why is payment hard?

Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

FAQ

Can I pay for Roamless with a virtual Visa or Mastercard?

Yes. Roamless takes Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, and a reloadable Mehbit virtual card works at its checkout. We tested it with a real Mehbit card on 2026-09-02: a $6.95 charge settled in full.

How does Roamless pricing actually work?

Its main product is credit, not a data pack. You top up a US dollar balance and are billed per megabyte at a rate set for the country you are in — about $2.45 per GB in the United States, $4.45 in Canada, from roughly $1.95 in the cheapest destinations. The credit never expires. Roamless also sells fixed bundles of 5, 10, 20 and 50 GB with a 30-day validity, which are cheaper per gigabyte but do expire.

Why did I see a $0.00 charge when I added my card?

That is a card-verification authorization, not a payment. Roamless checks that the card is live before it stores it, and no money moves. Our own test produced two of them on 2026-09-01, the day before the real $6.95 charge went through.

What happens if Auto Top Up runs when my card is empty?

The charge is declined. Roamless triggers Auto Top Up whenever your credit falls below $5.00 and that threshold is fixed, so a card left empty will fail at the worst possible time — abroad, with no data to fix it. Keep a balance on the Mehbit card, or turn Auto Top Up off in Profile → Credits and top up manually.

Does Roamless credit expire?

Pay-as-you-go credit does not expire — an unused balance stays in your account and works on your next trip in any of the supported destinations. The fixed data bundles are different: they run out 30 days after you first use them, and whatever data is left is gone.

Can Mehbit pay for Roamless on my behalf?

Yes. If the card keeps getting declined, top up your Mehbit balance and request a proxy payment in the app — we buy your Roamless credit for you and the Roamless account stays entirely yours.

Tips

Load the card and buy your credit before you fly. If you land somewhere with no data, you cannot open the app to top up.

Keep more than $5 on the balance, or switch Auto Top Up off — it fires the moment credit drops below $5.00 and charges the saved card.

Check the per-GB rate for your destination in the app first. The same $10 of credit goes twice as far in some countries as in others.

Pay-as-you-go credit never expires; a fixed data bundle expires 30 days after your first megabyte. Only buy a bundle if you know you will use it.

Your credit balance cannot pay for a fixed data plan — that is a separate card charge — so leave room on the card if you plan to buy one.
