Airalo sells three shapes of the same thing. Local eSIMs cover one country and are the cheapest per gigabyte — Turkey’s “Merhaba” packs, for example, start around $4 for 1 GB and run to about $34.50 for 50 GB over 30 days. Regional eSIMs cover a continent on one profile; Europe’s Eurolink starts around $5 for 1 GB and spans roughly 40 European countries and networks. Global eSIMs cover everywhere at once: the Discover pack is $8.50 for 1 GB over 7 days, $24 for 3 GB over 30 days and $57 for 10 GB over 180 days, across about 160 countries. There is also a Discover+ tier covering a few more destinations at a higher price.

Treat every one of those numbers as indicative. Airalo prices per destination, changes prices, and runs promotions and referral discounts constantly — the figure at checkout is the real one, and the pack you want in six months may not cost what this page says. Prices are quoted in US dollars.

The billing side is simple and that is the point. An Airalo purchase is an ordinary card-not-present e-commerce charge, billed from Singapore, where the company operates — it lands on your statement as AIRALO SINGAPORE SGP. On 2026-09-05 a Mehbit card paid an $8.50 Airalo charge and it settled: real money moved and the purchase completed. That is one confirmed purchase, not a long track record, which is why this page carries the payment-tested badge on the strength of a single settled charge. For what it is worth, $8.50 is exactly Airalo’s list price for the Discover global 1 GB / 7-day pack, so the amount is squarely in the range of a small data pack rather than a large bundle.

Here is the practical difference from most services on this site. Netflix, Spotify, Google Workspace and the rest are subscriptions: the card has to be funded again on a renewal date you may have forgotten, and a card that is empty that morning gets the charge declined and the account suspended. Airalo is not that. Each pack is a single purchase. Fund the card with a little more than the pack costs, buy it, and you are done — there is no renewal day, no stored mandate to fail, and no reason to leave a balance parked on the card afterwards. When the data runs out you decide whether to buy a top-up or a different pack; nothing happens on its own.

What actually goes wrong is almost never the payment. It is buying too late: installing an eSIM needs an internet connection, so buy and install while you are still on Wi-Fi at home rather than standing in an arrivals hall with no signal. Check that your phone is eSIM-capable and carrier-unlocked before you pay, because a pack bought for an incompatible phone is hard to get refunded — Airalo’s withdrawal right ends once the eSIM is activated or used. And read the word “unlimited” carefully: those packs give roughly 3 GB a day at full speed and then throttle to about 1 Mbps for the rest of the day.
