What is this service?
Apify is a cloud platform for web scraping and automation. Its programs are called Actors: you give an Actor a JSON input, it runs in Apify’s cloud and returns structured results, such as product listings, search results or social media data.
Apify Store offers thousands of ready-to-run Actors built by Apify and other developers, so many jobs need no code at all. Developers can write their own Actors with the Apify SDK for JavaScript/Node.js or Python, and Apify also maintains the open-source crawling library Crawlee. Apify Proxy rotates IP addresses so scrapers are blocked less often, and runs can be connected to other tools and APIs.

Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

How much does Apify cost?

What is a compute unit?
It is how Apify measures Actor runs: one compute unit is 1 GB of memory running for one hour. It costs $0.20 on Free and Starter, $0.16 on Scale and $0.13 on Business.
Does unused Apify usage roll over?
No. Prepaid usage expires at the end of each billing cycle, so choose a plan that matches what you use each month.
What happens if I use more than my plan includes?
Apify suspends runs at your limit unless overage is enabled. With overage, extra usage is billed to your card on the next invoice, or right away once it reaches $20 on Starter or $200 on higher plans. Keep some balance on your Mehbit card if you enable it.
Tips
Start on the Free plan: it needs no card and includes $5 of usage a month, enough to test the Actors you need.
Top up the Mehbit card before you upgrade: it must already hold the full plan price plus any tax.
If you enable overage, keep extra balance on the card: Apify can invoice overage mid-cycle once it passes $20 on Starter or $200 on higher plans.
Set a usage limit in the Billing section so a runaway scraper cannot run up a large bill.
Prepaid usage expires at the end of each billing cycle, so pick the plan that matches what you really use each month.
Choose annual billing only if you are sure about the plan: it saves 10% but is charged upfront.
