Pay for Windscribe

Windscribe prices its plans in US dollars. Pro costs $9 billed every month, or $69 billed every 12 months, which works out to $5.75 a month. Build A Plan costs $1 per location per month with a $3 minimum purchase; for $1 more you can add Unlimited Data, which also unlocks R.O.B.E.R.T. For teams, ScribeForce brings the price down to $5 per month per account for teams of at least five people.

The free plan is a real, usable tier rather than a short trial: with a confirmed email address you get 10 GB of data a month on servers in 10 countries, and 2 GB a month without one. It is a sensible way to check that Windscribe works on your network and devices before you pay anything.

Windscribe lists cryptocurrency, PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and American Express as payment methods, plus Paymentwall for local payment methods, and Apple Pay, Google Play and Amazon payments on matching devices. Because Windscribe takes crypto directly, paying from your own wallet is a perfectly good route. A USDT-funded Mehbit card is simply another convenient option — useful if you want the payment on the same card as your other services, or you would rather have a card payment, which is simpler to refund than crypto.

Paid plans are recurring: Windscribe’s pricing page says they renew automatically and can be cancelled at any time. A monthly Pro plan charges the card every month and a yearly plan once every 12 months, so the card on file needs enough balance before each renewal date. An empty card is declined even though Windscribe accepts the card itself.

Refunds are limited. Windscribe asks you to request one within 7 days of your initial purchase, and only if you have used less than 10 GB on the paid plan. Renewals are not eligible — only the first payment that started the subscription. Requests go through a support ticket, and Windscribe’s terms say approved refunds are processed within 30 days. Crypto payments are refunded only when the payment was over $10, and the refund is paid in Bitcoin with network fees deducted.

One thing to know before you pay: Windscribe’s help centre carries an article saying Mastercard has been declining payments to Windscribe and asking customers to try another payment method. If your Mastercard is declined at checkout, pay Windscribe directly in crypto instead. Also pay on windscribe.com in a browser — purchases made inside the mobile apps are billed by Google Play or Apple, not by Windscribe, and Google Play is blocked for our cards.
