What is this service?
Etherscan is the best-known block explorer for Ethereum: a website where you can look up any address, transaction, token or smart contract on the chain. Behind the website sits the Etherscan API, which developers use to pull the same data into wallets, trading bots, analytics dashboards and backend services.
The current Etherscan API covers more than 60 EVM chains with a single API key — you choose the network with a chain ID parameter instead of signing up to a separate explorer for each chain. There is a free tier for personal and research use, and paid plans that raise the rate limits, open every supported chain and add API Pro endpoints.
Paid API plans are bought by card. A Mehbit virtual Mastercard topped up with USDT is entered at Etherscan’s checkout like any other international card, so you can upgrade your API key without a local bank card.
Why is payment hard?
Many local bank cards are not authorized for international SaaS billing. Services process payments through Stripe on international rails, so domestic-only cards are often declined even when you have sufficient balance.

FAQ
Can I pay for the Etherscan API with a virtual Mastercard?
Yes. Etherscan sells its API plans by card, and we tested it with a real Mehbit card — Etherscan’s checkout accepted the card and authorized the payment. Issue a Mehbit virtual card, top it up with USDT and pay for your plan on etherscan.io.
How much does an Etherscan API plan cost?
Lite is $49 a month, Standard $199, Advanced $299, Professional $399 and Pro Plus $899. Quarterly billing is 10% cheaper and yearly billing 15% cheaper. There is also a free plan with 3 calls per second and up to 100,000 calls a day.
Does one Etherscan API key work on other chains?
Yes. The current Etherscan API covers more than 60 EVM chains with one key; you pick the network with a chain ID. The free plan covers a selected set of chains, while paid plans cover every supported chain.
Does an Etherscan plan renew automatically?
Yes. Stripe billing renews automatically by default. Cancel before the billing date to avoid the next charge — Etherscan asks you to contact it to turn auto-renewal off. Keep enough balance on your Mehbit card before each renewal.
Can I get a refund from Etherscan?
No. Etherscan states that payments are non-refundable and that it does not give refunds or credits for services already paid for. Start with the free plan or monthly billing until you know what you need.
Tips
Try the free API key first — 3 calls per second and up to 100,000 calls a day — and upgrade only if you hit its limits or need a chain it does not cover.
Top up the Mehbit card before you check out. The card must already hold the full price of the billing period you choose.
Quarterly and yearly billing are cheaper per month but charge the whole period at once, and Etherscan does not refund — fund the card for the full total.
Do not close the browser after paying: fill in the form with your Etherscan username and email so the plan lands on the right account.
Commercial products need Advanced or higher; Lite and Standard are listed for personal and research use.
Plans auto-renew. Keep enough balance on the card before each billing date, or contact Etherscan to switch auto-renewal off in time.
